Commonly Asked Questions How much time should I allocate for my appointment? Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to allow time for refreshments, a cup of tea, restroom use, and fill in a consultation form. Can my friend and I have our Head Spa treatments at the same time? Yes, appointments for a maximum of 2 people are available simultaneously. Is a Blowout included in the service? A blowout or hair styling is not included in the Head Spa service. Generally, we give a 5-minute blast dry to client’s hair with every 60 or 90 minute Head Spa treatment. Clients also have the option to style their own hair after, and we can provide brushes and a blow dryer for their convenience. Will the Head Spa impact my hair colour or keratin treatment? All our ingredients are safe for all types of treated hair. However, if you have recently undergone any chemical treatments within a week prior to your Head Spa appointment, there is a chance that the colour or keratin may be affected during our detoxification process. Therefore, we recommend that clients wait at least one week after any hair treatment before scheduling a Head Spa session. Additionally, we suggest waiting at least one week after a Head Spa before undergoing any chemical treatments. It is advisable not to apply chemicals to a freshly cleansed scalp. What’s the difference between a salon shampoo and a head spa? A salon shampoo quickly cleanses the hair. A head spa, however, deeply cares for the scalp using oils, creams, and massages to improve scalp health and promote relaxation. It's ideal for those wanting more than just a basic shampoo. Can you perform a Head Spa on all hair types? Our therapists can treat all hair types, including thin and delicate, thick and coarse, wavy, curly, porous, and even bald. However, the primary emphasis of the Head Spa is on the scalp rather than the hair itself. As long as you have a scalp, we can offer a Head Spa treatment. We kindly ask that you ensure we have adequate access to your scalp. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate clients with extensions, braids, or sew-ins since these styles obstruct access to the scalp and its pores. What if I have sensitive skin or a medical condition? Please consider this before booking. Steam or water may touch your face, so let us know if you have any concerns. Hair extensions, Braids & Sew-Ins Unfortunately, we cannot treat clients with hair extensions, braids, or sew-ins. As we do not have adequate access to the scalp, this is crucial for various treatments that require direct contact with the scalp, such as scalp massages, assessments of scalp conditions, or any procedures that involve applying products directly to the scalp. Is the Head Spa safe for pregnant women? Our Head Spa utilizes organic and natural ingredients, ensuring safety for clients who are pregnant. Nonetheless, some individuals may have reservations regarding the use of specific herbs and essential oils during pregnancy.
